Principals Month Celebrated on Campuses

They can be found directing morning and afternoon traffic, opening car doors at drop-off and pick-up and attending marching contests, one-act play competitions and sporting events on the weekends. They are public school principals, and they cover a lot of territory in their roles as campus leaders which is why Texas Governor Greg Abbott officially designated the month of October as Principals Month in their honor.

The Comal Independent School District is celebrating 31 principals and 53 assistant principals throughout the month with campuses showing their appreciation through special lunches, office decorations and more.

“We are always appreciative of our principals,” says Comal ISD Superintendent Andrew Kim. “They are dedicated to our students and teachers on a daily basis, so it is nice to have a special time to celebrate their work.”
