The district's School Age Child Care (SACC) Summer Program will be offered at seven elementary campuses starting June 6. This program gives parents an opportunity to engage their children in both recreational and educational activities throughout the summer.

With family, teammates, coaches and friends watching, 12 Smithson Valley Rangers and six Canyon Cougar student athletes signed National Letters of Intent to play the sport of their choice at the next level.

All Comal ISD campuses and departments will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3, and Friday, Feb. 4, due to inclement weather.

Every year the competition gets a little tougher as elementary students from across the district hone their interpersonal skills through the Comal Shake Competition. The winning combination is confidence, a strong handshake and the ability to make small talk.

Due to anticipated weather and road conditions tomorrow morning, and out of an abundance of caution, Comal ISD will be on a two-hour delayed start tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 24.

The district's second chess tournament showcased players from all grade levels with surprising results - a new district champion team for the high school category. Now, players are busy working on their game strategies for the district's two remaining tournaments.
