Mrs. Thompson - Second Grade

WELCOME:

Hello. I am Mrs. Thompson. I am one of five second grade teachers at Freiheit Elementary School. Go Eagles! Second grade is such a FUN year, full of growth. We work really hard, but we also have a lot of fun and make so many special memories. I can’t wait to see how much everyone learns and grows this year!

EXPERIENCE:

I am new to Freiheit Elementary School this school year (2025/26). Although I am new here, I am not new to teaching. I have been teaching full time for over 11 years now. This is my third year teaching 2nd grade. Prior to teaching second grade, I taught 4th grade for four years, then 3rd grade for 5 years. And before teaching full time, I was a substitute teacher for five years, so I have been working in education for quite a bit. Education is where my heart is.

MY FAVORITES:

Color: Black and baby blue. I love pastel colors!

Drink: Peach Iced Tea and Coffee! Starbucks all the way!

Hobbies: Family time, video games, and shopping. ;-)

Video Games: Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and Fortnite.

Game: Connect4

Flower: Roses

Animal: Koalas and butterflies

Candy: Purple Bag Skittles or Paydays

Movie: Right now I am loving “Lilo and Stitch”

Food: Breakfast or popcorn
